Livicated to the memory of the dancehall legend Nicodemus, Positive Sound Massive Recordings is proud to release "Dancehall Giant", a 12-track CD of the "Old Veteran's" newest material.

Recorded in San Francisco in 1994, the album features many seasoned guest musicians, and is produced and mixed by Stand Out Selector and Stefan G. The music is a mix of jazz, funk, hip hop and soul, with a heavy reggae foundation, fused with the old-school flow of Nicodemus. The album contains two remixes of the 1981 radio smash hit "Boneman Connection" reworked with brand new hip hop and dancehall riddims, and re-voiced in Demus' wicked style and pattern. The original was, for some, an introduction to dancehall, and has remained on playlists in Europe, Japan and the U.S. for over15 years. The remixes are the only previously released tunes on the record and will be the first single, along with some fresh new remixes and instrumentals.

The rest of the album is a treat for all who love the "Godfather's" style. The lyrics tackle political issues (Riddim Ryder), problems between men and women (Tom, Dick & Harry), as well as a "horse" tune for all the track fans (Bambury Cross). A favorite on the "Dancehall Giant" tour was "Hollywood Style", a song about American T.V. & movie stars, and the vibe that Demus got from each one.

The album also features a track from Grandson Demus, a wicked DJ who preaches "Nuff man a talk 'bout dem run tings, but ya know the almighty him run everything..." The album was released on December 5, 1996, and has received radio airplay in New York, Miami, Los Angeles and San Francisco, as well as in Europe. It has even become a staple on playlists as far away as Guam. Dancehall Giant has or been reviewed in many of the national reggae publications in addition to magazines in the U.S., England, and Japan.

The response has been overwhelming! This record was the first meeting of Positive Sound Massive and Nicodemus; and since that time, PSM recorded many concert performances, on both audio and video formats.
